Sew-Alongs & Online workshops

What is the difference between a sew-along and an online workshop?

A sew-along is when a group of people all work on the same project.  Instructions are distributed electronically, in bite-sized chunks, over a set period of time.  The beauty of a sew-along is that participants don’t have to all be in the same location.  They can use social media or an online forum to post questions, pictures or discussion points.  Once a sew-along is complete,  instructions can be accessed at any time via the links below

An online workshop is similar to a sew-along.  The difference is that all instructions are made available at the beginning of the workshop, rather than being doled out a bit at a time.  Instructions for each online workshop will be available for a finite time.

ASG joins with Specialty Pleaters once again, to bring you this AUSSEW-Along.

Last time it was a circular skirt; this time it's a simpler version - a straight piece of fabric pleated into a yoke.

    ASG Members - Free

    Non-members - $25.00

A supply list will be emailed to you on Monday, 6th July.   Instructions will be sent to you at regular intervals over the following 8 weeks.

UPDATE:  Due to the Covid-19 lockdown in Victoria, Specialty Pleaters has been forced to temporarily close shop.  Rado Pleating in Sydney has stepped into the breach.

While you wait for your fabric to be returned to you, check out the video on our NEWS page which shows the pleating process.
