Introduction to Stretch Sewing

This workshop introduces you to the basics of sewing stretch fabrics using your domestic sewing machine. This beginner-friendly class is designed to help you gain confidence and achieve great results when working with knit and stretch fabrics.

Learn about different types of knit  and stretch fabrics , their composition, handling techniques and types of needles to use.

You will learn how to set up your machine to make the following samples:

• Triple stitch seam
• Lightning stitch seam
• Zig zag seam
• Hemming using azig zag stitch
• Sewing rubber/elastic hem
• Using a stretch twin ball point needle
• Sewing a stretch cuff
